Cartoon Credits

The cartoons on these pages were drawn by a friend, Dave Archer. Time presently finds Dave teaching computer science in a high school in El Paso, Texas, and practicing in a studio in the Rio Grande Valley. In other days, Dave saw tours of duty in Vietnam, and served for a while as a cartoonist for MAD Magazine (now, sadly, perhaps best known for the weak SNL rip-off on TV that bears its moniker). I met Dave when he participated as a teacher in one of our TeachScheme! workshops. A few days before I left Houston, Dave walked unannounced into my office. In his hands was a sheaf of cartoons, which he gave us and told us to use as we wished. I'll be employing some of these at appropriate times during this semester. Thanks, Dave!
