Description

This course explores the rapidly advancing field of GPU programming, leveraging the massive computational power of the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) in applications both inside and outside its traditional role in the graphics pipeline. Topics include programming using C++, GLSL, and CUDA, as well as theoretical techniques for parallelizing algorithms to work in the GPU’s unique execution structure. Prerequisite: CSCI 1230; CSCI 2240 will be helpful but not required. Familiarity with C and C++ is a must.
