Reaction for: Instructional Strategies for the Problems of Novice Programmers by Amanda

It is really funny to me...LOGO. I love it. I remember learning it in middle school and elementary. But looking back I see the merits of it. It taught basic syntax commands that are present in every language...like loops and if and while statements. It is the perfect language for a very introductory course in computer science that covers both the theory and the programming language. Except for the fact that that language will never be used again except for instructional purposes...

I found that the curriculum for the metacourse would be something appropriate for lower level highschool courses. Say, the ninth grade. I think it would be valuable, but not for higher levels...for when you are FIRST starting to learn to code.
