GO BROWN!!!! This article was right up my alley. It was all about GP nd algorithms and other neat tools made by and used at Brown University. It was the background to my entire cs life flashing before my very eyes.

Spike and co. seemed to be more telling the "this is what we've done at brown" than delving deep into a question about computer science per se. They did manag to have over 12 of their 15 citations be from Brown University people so it definitely had an insular feeling to it. I feel that this is what our gisp would have been discussing 5 years ago - how we could develop a package like GP and other Graphical simulators to help teach computer graphic and Object Oriented Design. This is kind of the road behind what we are doing in the gisp and we must ford the rest of the way.

I did get a feeling that this was more an article that highlighted brown and gave the authors and the department an ego boost more than a real analytical piece. But that, is just me...
