Reaction for: A Laboratory for Teaching Object-Oriented Thinking by Saul Daddy

CRC cards are an interesting entity. To me, they remind me of when Mrs. Davis in second grade made sure that we had 10 index cards with different information before we could start writing our research paper (mine was on deserts). This is just a tangible form of object breakdown. For me, I like to name my things. It may sound silly, but if I had Harry the queen bee and mikey the drone bee and billy the swarm class, I know who needs to be invited for us to have a successful swarm. I jest a little, but this is just an example that there are many many ways of object breakdown.

I do not see them as revolutionary but more as helpful. They are a useful tool to help a programmer or designer construct the project that they are working on. I feel that there is a view in CS of CRC cards as the be all end all but I will have to disagree. They are useful, but not a revolutionary breakthrough like calcium fortified orange juice.
