1.0 PIs Become ACM Fellows
Al Barr, Henry Fuchs, and Don Greenberg were inducted as ACM Fellows on February 15 this year. This is the first time that nominations were being accepted; the 54 new ACM Fellows add to the initial 133 (which includes the current director, Andy van Dam). This honor recognizes the role that many of the PI's have had (through their work in computer graphics) on the field of computing.2.0 Honorary Degrees
Center Director Andy van Dam will receive an Honorary Doctorate from the Darmstadt Technical University on December 12, 1995.
