Platform for Privacy: Social Information Sharing

David Ellis '07.5, Facebook

Facebook takes user privacy very seriously, and strives to provide a secure environment where users can share information and communicate with people they care about. To do this, we develop tools to help our 300,000 platform developers provide value to users without compromising security. Facebook offers a rich API with Facebook Markup Language (FBML) at its core. I will give a brief overview of our privacy infrastructure, its interface to external applications. Questions are welcome both during and afterwards.
