The Brown Workstation Environment: A User Interface Design Toolkit

Abstract:

The Brown Workstation Environment is a graphics toolkit that currently runs on top of the X Window System. It provides an extensive set of graphics management programming tools for simple input and output, menus, windows, text editing, terminal emulation, and structured diagrams. Its implementation stresses ease of use by the programmer by providing higher-level, simplified packages as well as the usual low-level components.
