AnimatedTexture2 - Installation
AnimatedTexture2 currently uses the ANIMbase class with the ANIMmpeg
and/or ANIMnv objects (MPEG or mbone NV support respectively).
Tested Configurations
AnimatedTexture2 should work on any machine with Silicon Graphics Open
Inventor (TM)
2.0 or 2.1.1 and hardware texture mapping. Please email lsh@cs.brown.edu if you are able to run on
other configurations
- SGI Onyx Reality Engine 2, Irix 5.3, 2 processors, running Open Inventor 2.0 or Open Inventor 2.1.1
- SGI Onyx Reality Engine 2, Open Inventor 2.1.1, Irix 6.2
- SGI Impact, Irix 6.2
- SGI Indigo Impact, 200MHz R400, Open Inventor 2.1.1 or later, Irix 6.2 alpha
- SGI Indigo Impact, Open Inventor 2.1.1, Irix 5.3
- Sun UltraSparc (167 mhz), Portable Graphics Open Inventor 2.1.1, Solaris 2.5, OpenGL 1.1 Beta Dev08
Necessary Ingredients
Installation instructions
- Follow the instructions for installing
ooMPEG
and optionally the NV wrapper (not released yet).
- Go to the directory where ooMPEG was extracted (the parent directory of
mpeg_play)
- Unpack the AnimatedTexture2 package
- zcat tex-node.tar.Z | tar xvf -
- Edit the makefile to your satisfaction and run make
- If you want to make the AnimatedTexture2 node available to all
Inventor programs on your machine, copy the AnimatedTexture.so file
to the Inventor DSO directory
- [Open Inventor 2.1.1] cp AnimatedTexture2.so /usr/local/lib/InventorDSO
- [Open Inventor 2.0] cp AnimatedTexture2.so /usr/local/lib/Inventor
