Prof. Michael Black and CS296-4 receive Commendations from Henrico County Viriginia

Professor Michael J. Black receiving the Commendation and Chief's Award from Colonel Henry W. Stanley, Chief of Police, at the Henrico County Division of Police Spring Awards Ceremony, Henrico County Virginia, April 19, 2007.

On April 19, 2007, Michael Black, Professor of Computer Science, and his class, CS296-4 Topics in Computer Vision, received commendations from the Henrico County Division of Police, Henrico County Virginia, for their work on analyzing and enhancing surveillance video of a homicide crime scene. Prof. Philip Klein to receive Philip J. Bray Award for Teaching Excellence

Professor Philip Klein has been selected to receive Brown University's Philip J. Bray Award for Teaching Excellence in the Physical Sciences. One such award is given each year to a current faculty member who is recognized as an exceptional undergraduate teacher.
